Spatial Micro-Kernel & Memory Matrix

The foundation of CVL CORE’s performance is its rejection of standard object-oriented entity models in favor of a packed C-style memory matrix.

Rather than allocating Python or C# class instances across heap memory, active entities occupy fixed 64-byte strides inside contiguous memory buffers:

Bytes 0-11 : Position (X, Y, Z as 32-bit floats)
Bytes 12-23 : Velocity (VX, VY, VZ as 32-bit floats)
Bytes 24-27 : Rotation / Yaw Heading (32-bit float)
Bytes 28-31 : Kinematic Flags & Movement State Bitmask
Bytes 32-47 : Spatial Cell Coordinates & 9-Cell Grid Hash
Bytes 48-63 : Network Identity & Anti-Cheat Timestamp Watermark

  • Power-of-Two Grid Hashing: The world space is indexed using bitshifted 2.5D spatial cells, allowing the broadphase algorithm to identify nearby entities in O(1) time.
  • 9-Cell Neighborhood Replication: Players only receive network replication packets for entities located within their immediate 9-cell spatial cluster.
  • 20-Byte Obstacle Strides: Static world obstacles are baked into compact 20-byte axis-aligned bounding boxes (AABBs), allowing entire zone geometries to reside directly in CPU cache.
